Lara received her Bachelor's of Nursing degree from Arkansas State University. After graduating, she began her professional career as a nurse caring for the critically ill.
Always seeking to expand her horizons, she began traveling to different hospitals around the country. She worked as a float nurse and assisted the local staff in the Intensive Care Units when short-staffed. She worked for some of the nation’s most comprehensive academic health care delivery systems, such as New York-Presbyterian Hospital, New York Cornell Weill Hospital, and the University of Wisconsin.
Working side-by-side with talented doctors and practitioners inspired her to pursue an advanced degree herself. While simultaneously working directly with a plastic surgeon and dermatologist, Lara attended the Chamberlain College of Nursing and graduated in 2017 with a Master's of Nursing degree. After graduating with a certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she continued working in aesthetics and focused on injections. Later, she received training on administering joint injections. Finally, she has found a passion for Acute Care and practicing in the Urgent Care Setting. And she hopes to implement cosmetic and joint injections in the future at Superior Urgent Care.
Beyond specializing in the critical care area, she has experience in ambulatory surgery, post-anesthesia care, plastic surgery, dermatology, laser therapy, and weight management.
In her free time, Lara enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with her family.
